Week Three of Hikeathon 2022

We've raised $517 and are halfway to our goal of $1,000 this August. I have hiked 23 miles and so am more than halfway to my goal of 30 miles for the month as well.

This week I hiked another old familiar and convenient trail, The Alki Beach Trail! I did 6 miles along the beach. Ryan hikes along this trail every day when he is home in Seattle, it is his normal walk everyday from my condo up at the top of the hill down to the beach and around and back up to the top of the hill again. I prefer to just do the nice flat part and forget about going up and down the hills!

Tempting to take a bike back the 3 miles to my car

Next, I hiked 2 miles along the Cedar River Trail in Renton, WA. This is another favorite of mine for hikeathon for the past couple of years. It is easy and flat and you can see boats and airplanes!
