Flying Too High by Kerry Greenwood (library) In the theme of reading books that are made into TV shows...These books are the basis of the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries TV shows. Very good and I will be reading more of these.
The Inverted World by Christopher Priest (library) science fiction about a dysfunctional future world. And of course there is a twist or two to make you think. This author wrote "The Prestige" which was made into a fabulous movie!
Can You Ever Forgive Me by Lee Israel (library) after watching this movie (Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant were both nominated for Oscars) I had to read the book.
Blue Lightning by Ann Cleeves (library) another of the Shetland series. This one was especially good....subplot concerns birders.
The Library of Lost and Found by Phaedra Patrick (library) This was a fun book. I enjoyed it.
In Praise of Difficult Women by Karen Karbo (library) Short stories about famous women who make a difference. Very good.
Codename Villanelle by Luke Jennings (library) yet another book that has been turned into a TV show. This book is the basis of the TV show, Killing Eve. Extremely good. Highly recommend.
I Shall Be Near to You by Erin Lindsay McCabe Civil War era and a new wife follows her husband into battle --very good, highly recommend.

The Lost Man by Jane Harper (library) mystery story of brothers in the Australian Outback
Night in Funland edited by Jerome Brondfield short stories from the Literary Cavalcade magazine. All of these are creepy sort of stories like would be made into Twilight Zone episodes. Lots of fun to read.
The Venus Factor edited by Vic Ghidalia and Roger Elwood Science Fiction short stories either written by a female or having female protagonists. Great fun
