Book List March 2023

The Outcast Dead by Elly Griffiths I really enjoyed this one, a murder mystery with an archeologist as the main protagonist. I will be reading more by this author.
Founding Gardeners by Andrea Wulf   really fascinating take on the founding fathers and the creation of our nation looking at how they emphasized agriculture and horticulture when creating the USA, emphasis on Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison.
Death Becomes Them by Alix Strauss about the suicides of famous people. From Virginia Woolf to Kurt Cobain. I enjoyed it, but it is kind of morbid.
The Christie Curse by Victoria Abbott  I only read it because of the Christie angle, it was just meh
I am Half Sick of Shadows by Alan Bradley (audiobook) the Christmas themed Flavia deLuce novel. I really love these.
High Country by Nevada Barr this is the one set in Yosemite

A Quiver Full of Arrows by Jeffrey Archer short stories
Poirot's Early Cases by Agatha Christie more short stories that I had already read in other compilations
Fire and Ice by Dana Stabenow Liam Campbell mystery
The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty A woman starts a relationship with a man and he has a stalker. I quite enjoyed it
Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro Like AI, I enjoyed it. But his books are very stark and depressing in my opinion. This one also, I was hopeful, but they always seem to end hopeless.
Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld (audiobook) about twin sisters who are a bit psychic and the relationship when one is a free spirit and the other just wants to live a "normal life"
