Monday's Postcard: Cliff Walk, RI

Can you believe that I have never been to cliff walk?? Yes, I am fascinated with these huge mansions, and the trail is a designated National Recreation trail. Some day I will go...it is on my bucket list.

Ryan and I will be hiking in August for the Washington Trails Association. We are looking for pledges to contribute for the protection and maintenance of Washington State Trails. Please consider making a donation, no amount is too small!!  Just follow the link posted below. Thanks so much!!

Let the RI letterboxers know if you are coming to RI - the cliff walk is fun, but usually too crowded for boxes!

That is an amazing walk. I wasn't an advid boxer yet. My company had sent me to a 2 week class at Warwick,RI. during the middle weekend, a couple of us went to Freeport, were they are. It was an awesome trip. The mansions are what are left of those "Gatsby" area of larger than life homes. they are mostily turned over to instituisions like schools, and such. The best time to go was when my company sent me mid october. Great weather, jazz festable was that weekend, and the summer league baseball classics where going on like in the movie "Summer Catch". Most, definatley a worth while trip.
