Seattle Postcards: P Patch

I found this postcard at a garden center in Seattle and I just love it. I could never send it away. I did not realize that P-Patch is supposedly a Seattle term. I know in England, they call them allotments, maybe they are community gardens in other parts of the USA?  Basically a piece of land where someone can have a little garden for themselves, but shared with the rest of the community.

It's named after the Picardo family, whose farm was where the first community garden in Seattle was created. https://www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/p-patch-gardening/about-the-program
